Comic Con 2017: The 5 stages of FOMO

FOMO: Fear Of Missing Out

Stage one: Delusions of Grandeur

In this stage you are still hopeful that perhaps you WILL win tickets to Comic-Con from one of the 17 contests you entered. Maybe they just forgot to call you and even though it’s the Day before Comic-Con there’s still a chance.

Stage Two: Losing touch with reality

In this stage you believe that if you could just find Scotty from Star Trek perhaps he could just beam you into the Outlander Panel at 5pm on the 21st.

Stage Three: Acceptance

In this stage you will give up on looking for Scotty, buy some brownie mix and watch the Outlander Trailer for the 42nd time.

Stage Four: Search and Seizure

While baking the brownies in this stage you will begin searching every search engine and social media outlet including but not limited to, Facebook, twitter, tumbler, instagram, tea leaves in the bottom of your cup, YouTube and google for any and all videos and pictures involving Outlander. Before during and after you may or may not faint, convulse, or find yourself saying “I can’t even” or “they built the actual freaking printshop.”

Stage Five: Eating your feelings

In this stage the brownies are done being baked and you’ve cued up all the Comicon videos of Outlander. You begin watching said videos eagerly as you experience an array of emotions.

You will be in awe of how dashing Sam Heughan looks just sittin there during every interview and appreciate how glorious his forehead looks and how that blue shirt make his eyes pop.

Holy cow Brianna DOES look like their child!

Diana is so gangster she has mother f***ing ships on her skirt, ships people! I must worship her majestic-ness

Breeger you are perfect.

Upon hearing the news that season 3 Episode 1 was premeired at the panel, you will not actually die but it may feel as though you are.

Keep eating that brownie it will all be alright.

September 10th we’re waiting for you!

This right here. All of it!!! I knew I wasn’t going to comic con, but once I looked at the online stuff, I couldn’t stop it. I’m still reading and re-reading through stuff and watching videos!! I heart this show soooo much!

    Great post as usual 🙂
